I enjoy many things cultural including art, dance and theatre. I often spend time with friends sharing in these pursuits and hope to be able to pass these along to my child. I love being in nature, be it a lazy day by the beach, swimming in the ocean, taking a hike, or camping in a state park. Being in the beauty of nature keeps me mindful of the world and of those around me, and the importance of having a spiritual dimension to my life. I believe it is important for kids to learn about and appreciate the world, care about what happens to it and the people in it. I think it’s important for a child to develop self awareness, confidence and a moral compass so that they can make good decisions, leading to a secure and happy adulthood with healthy, loving and supportive relationships. I look forward to encouraging my child to try new things, pursue his or her own unique talents, while I nurture them along their path of fulfilling their dreams. I plan to teach my child to always be true to her or himself, honor their integrity and always do the best they can.
